The Balti King is a nice reliable take-away, I've used it a number of times and the food and service have always been of a good standard. It's pretty cheap as well, even before the 10% student discount is taken into account, and you can either pop in for a take-away or ring up for a delivery order.
The menu is fairly varied and has loads of the classic curry dishes on it, but as I'm not a spice fan myself I can't vouch for how good the hot stuff is (though the korma is excellent!). The portions are nice and filling and the side dishes like naan breads and rices are good value again and are also very tasty.
Because the dishes are cooked to order you know you're getting quality, but at the same time they don't take long to prepare. When I was there the other day it was only about 20 to 25 minutes before we left with two freshly made curries, a rice, 2 naans and some extras for under £14, and I had a nice catch-up with my friend on the comfortable seats in the foyer area while we were waiting. All in all this place does the job perfectly, so if you're a curry fan I'd highly recommend it. -

I really rate this indian takeaway, I've had a number of good curries from here. The prices are really reasonable and if you go in you get a discount for collection. The menu has a really good range of dishes and some interesting specials.
I don't mind sitting and waiting for food here either, they have a TV on so I can keep my eye on eastenders and old papers and magazines to read! Friendly staff, I've not had a bad meal here. Of course there are some really amazing indian restaurants around but for a takeaway I think they do good standard food. -

My old student local curry. But it's great! Still go there over most other places when I'm on a budget and it's bloody tasty!
